  Alert- possible winds tonight in Ohio



Everyone, the National Weather Service Severe Storms Forecast Center and 
Wilmington local offices are posting that they’re watching a derecho 
march into northwest IL. This afternoon. The complex of storms is 
expected to approach Northwest Ohio by 8PM this evening.

As of 3:22 today, the NWS expects the derecho to weaken below derecho 
levels as it approaches. However, there most likely will be strong/gusty 
winds by and after 8PM tonight.

Watch closely as the storm walks across IN/MI.  Should this situation 
maintain its strength, be ready to participate in your Skywarn nets. If 
needed, W8SGT will assume a monitoring mode on the Ohio DMR statewide 
channel, to receive reports as the front moves across Ohio.  IF this 
stays at derecho strength, we may activate the link to join DMR/Fusion 
if that is needed. We would need your situational reports and any damage 
reports for the Ohio EMA.
