And it's January, for Pete's sake. I know! Let's have thunderstorms, heavy
rain and flooding!

Although a little dramatic, that's pretty much what we're in store for
through the weekend! Here's the wording of the National Weather Service
information from Wilmington:

***Flood Watch issued for the following Ohio counties: Auglaize, Darke,
Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Shelby from 6 AM SAT-1 AM SUN***
*Rain begins Thurs night and ends Sat night, heaviest during the day on
Saturday.

River Flood forecasts:
*Official River forecasts include rain through 7 am Sunday.
*Most significant river flooding expected to be across northwest Ohio

*Confidence in river flooding: High
*Confidence in exact river points: Moderate
*Confidence in exact area of heaviest rain: Moderate

Wind threat:
*Gusty winds could lead to tree damage and power outages.
*Confidence in gusty winds: High
*Highest wind gusts Saturday and Saturday night

Here is the 66 hour forecast rainfall:. You can see Northwest Ohio is
expected to bear the brunt of the rain:

Along with the rain will be some decent wind. Here is the 24-hour max wind
gust graphic from now through tomorrow at 3PM:

So- forewarned is forearmed! Now's the time to gently alert your folks
(especially in areas for Skywarn) to be ready!
