[XWARN] Amateur Radio Fall Classes

The Greene County Amateur Radio Clubs are sponsoring classes for 
individuals interested in obtaining or upgrading an amateur radio 
license. Classes begin Sunday evening September 17 at 7:00 PM and are 
expected to last for up to two hours. The format is nine weeks of two 
hour class sessions, followed by a free test session. At the first 
session, the class may decide to modify the start time and duration of 
future classes, so be sure to check with the coordinator if you miss the 
first session.

There is no cost to take the course, but you are asked to obtain the 
text book. They are available from the ARRL at 
www.arrl.org/shop/Licensing-and-Education/

XWARN, the sponsor of the General Class sessions will have General Class 
manuals available for purchase at the first session for a discounted 
price ($27).

The text is "The ARRL XXXXX Class License Manual", Where XXXXX is 
Technician, General, or Extra.

The entry level Technician Class Course will be held at the Bellbrook 
Amateur Radio Club clubhouse (Room 1, Sugarcreek Elementary School, 51 
S. East St, Bellbrook. For further information, contact Jim Gifford

The General Class Sessions will take place in the training room in the 
lower level of Beavercreek Township Fire Station 61 at 2195 Dayton-Xenia 
Rd, Beavercreek OH 45434 (Next to the Sheriff's Substation). For Further

The Extra Class sessions will be held in the Training Room at Fairborn 
Fire Station 2 at 2200 Commerce Center Blvd, just south of Dayton-Yellow
